More on WSG

Time for some more of my thoughts on WSG. Take a look the map of the battleground.
Most battles start with a zerg for the flag with most players exiting by the graveyard and racing along the right side of the map(when facing the opposing HQ) to the ramp that leads to the upper entrace of the opposing force's flag room. Now if there are defenders there will be a skirmish in the flag room. The flag runner should grab the flag and head out. As a general rule the this is the only time it will be ok to take the flag out the tunnel. I like run the flag out by the graveyard stick to the far side of the map and head back to the ramp to upper entrace of my team's HQ. If all goes well the other team has not picked up your flag or has dropped it by now and you have a quick capture. It has not gone well the flag runner now has to hide from the opposing team until the rest of your team can force the other team to drop the flag and return before you can cature the flag. Once the flag is captured, rinse and repeat.
Important notes to remember:
  • Defend your flag. A small force of 2-3 people should remain in the flag room to stop or slown down the enemy.
  • Escort the flag runner. 1 or 2 people should stay with the flag runner to support, heal, and/or pick up the flag.
  • Stop the enemy flag runner. Simple enough you can not capture the flag if the enemy has yours.

One more thing, do not stay mid field and kill just for more honor kills.
